Attorney Doron Kochavi founded his law firm in 1982, on his own initiative and under his ownership, after completing his legal apprenticeship and fulfilling his obligation to pursue advanced studies at Tel Aviv University, where he earned a master’s degree in law with a focus on business law.

Attorney Kochavi specializes in commercial law, real estate, planning and construction, intellectual property, liquidations and bankruptcies, litigation, estates, and additional matters within the civil law sphere.

Since the early 1990s, the firm has focused primarily on real estate transactions, the legal representation of construction groups and real estate development projects, real estate taxation, dissolution of real estate partnerships, and planning and construction proceedings.

Attorney Kochavi is highly proficient in financial analysis and accounting. His clientele has included public companies, private companies, private individuals owning real estate assets, and clients operating in technology and related sectors. The firm’s client base also includes many foreign residents.

One of the central projects handled by Attorney Kochavi is the “The Great Block” (Hagush Hagadol) project, located in northern Tel Aviv. He serves as trustee for more than 350 rights holders and is primarily engaged in developing the area. Over the years, he has accumulated extensive experience in organizing rights holders and establishing development projects on their behalf, as well as in the project's financial and legal dimensions. Over the course of his decades-long involvement in this project, Attorney Kochavi has initiated and established more than 22 residential and commercial real estate projects. Attorney Kochavi is involved in large-scale real estate projects in both the “Great Block” area and Givatayim, in cooperation with Tidhar Group and Ashtrom Group.

In addition, he has been appointed by the courts in various cases to serve as a liquidator of companies and has acted as an arbitrator in numerous disputes.

The firm’s current focus is primarily on real estate development and value enhancement, including planning and construction proceedings.

The firm employs several attorneys who assist across its areas of practice and specialization. Attorney Shahaf Man has been a member of the firm for nearly twenty-eight years and practices, among other areas, in real estate taxation.

Attorney Kochavi was born in Tel Aviv in September 1951. He is a graduate of the Balfour State School and Municipal High School “Zayin.” He served in the Israel Defense Forces as an officer in a select intelligence unit.

He completed his undergraduate and graduate (LL.B. and LL.M.) law degrees at Tel Aviv University, specializing in business law, and also holds an additional academic degree in social sciences.

He completed his legal apprenticeship at the Tel Aviv District Court under the late Judge Lavenberg and at S. Horowitz & Co.

Since October 1980, Attorney Kochavi has been a member of the Israel Bar Association. Within the scope of his professional activity, he has served as a liquidator of various companies and has participated in several committees of the Israel Bar Association, including the Courts Committee and the Foreign Relations Committee.

Between 1988 and 1990, he served on the executive board of the Israeli Forum, which during those years focused on building and strengthening ties between young Israeli leadership and Jewish communities in the Diaspora.

From 1992 to 1993, Attorney Kochavi served as an advisor to the Knesset Subcommittee on Economic Affairs.

At the beginning of 1994, Attorney Kochavi was appointed by a statutory committee headed by the Ministers of Finance and Agriculture to serve as a rehabilitator, pursuant to the Arrangements Law for Moshavim. For a decade, he served in this quasi-judicial role, overseeing more than forty moshavim (cooperative agricultural communities). This position required qualifications comparable to those of a district court judge.

Attorney Kochavi has held various public roles, including membership on the Steering Committee of the Los Angeles-Tel Aviv Partnership, Chair of the Education Committee, and Chair of the Friends Association of the Ghetto Fighters’ House. For several years, he has been a member of the Board of Trustees of Tel Aviv University and serves on several committees. In addition, he serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations and endowments involved in social and educational initiatives, contributing significant resources and providing substantial scholarships in the fields of culture and the arts.

In recognition of his extensive and meaningful public and social activity, he was recently awarded the title of “Distinguished Citizen of Tel Aviv” in May 2025.

Attorney Kochavi is married to Tami Glizer-Kochavi, is the father of Shir and Amit, and the grandfather of his granddaughter Gaia.
