Ken-Dror, Azran & Harel Law Firm

Ken-Dror, Azran & Harel Law Firm was established in 2006. The firm was founded by Adv. Lior Ken-Dror, who was admitted to the Israel Bar in 1999 after serving in senior management roles in insurance companies, including as an acquisition supervisor at Shiloach Insurance Company (now Harel Insurance) and as Life Insurance Sales Manager at Clal Insurance for the Haifa and Northern Districts.

Adv. Nitzan Harel is an arbitrator and mediator in insurance matters. He specializes in drafting agreements between insurance agents and provides expert legal opinions in disputes between insurance companies and insurance agents. In addition, he previously held senior management positions at the Union of Insurance Agencies of the Leumi Bank Group and at Clal Insurance, and he established and managed the Haifa and Northern District branch of the Sagi Yogev Insurance Agency of the Migdal Group.

In 2010, Adv. Harel joined Adv. Lior Ken-Dror, and together they built one of the leading law firms in Northern Israel in the fields of insurance law (personal injury and property), National Insurance Institute claims, tort law, Ministry of Defense claims, and labor law. Adv. Nitzan Harel has been a member of the Israel Bar Association since 2002.

Adv. Meital Azran was admitted to the Bar in 2010 after graduating with honors from University of Haifa's Faculty of Law. She previously represented the National Insurance Institute in subrogation claims, liability claims, and appeals of medical committee decisions. Adv. Azran has extensive experience in tort law, insurance law, and Ministry of Defense claims. She became a partner in 2025.

Ken-Dror, Azran & Harel Law Firm specializes in handling cases in the fields of insurance law, tort law, claims against the National Insurance Institute, medical malpractice, labor law, and property insurance claims.

An additional unique area of practice is the provision of comprehensive legal solutions for insurance agents across a wide range of professional aspects of insurance agency operations, including regulation, data systems and databases, review and improvement of agreements with insurance companies, legal consulting and ongoing support, drafting agreements for the acquisition of insurance portfolios, establishment of insurance corporations, creation of joint ventures, and more.

The firm maintains ongoing professional relationships with a network of experts, including appraisers, engineers, physicians, and other specialists, to support each client’s case.

Clients benefit from the partners’ and attorneys’ accumulated experience, which includes, in addition to their legal education and membership in the Israel Bar Association, certification as mediators by the Israel Bar Association, conducting arbitration proceedings through the Institute for Arbitration and Mediation in Insurance and Finance of the Israel Insurance Agents Association, and both academic and practical experience in economics and business administration.

Commercial Department

The Commercial Department of Ken-Dror, Harel & Co., Attorneys and Mediators, managed by Adv. Nitzan Harel, provides legal services to private companies (particularly those subject to special regulatory regimes, such as companies in the capital markets and insurance sectors) as well as to individuals seeking to establish companies, enter into cooperation agreements, form partnerships, set up ventures, and carry out acquisitions and mergers, along with a wide range of ongoing commercial matters.

The firm has accumulated extensive experience in negotiating and drafting agreements for share acquisitions or business acquisitions, founders’ shareholder agreements, and similar transactions.

The Commercial Department’s attorneys are highly experienced in representing clients in complex negotiations, including negotiations with large entities such as insurance companies and investment houses, as well as in multi-party contractual transactions and transactions structured in stages and/or options. The department regularly works with professional advisors such as tax consultants and accountants, including for the purpose of setting optimal terms in merger and acquisition agreements, as well as option agreements and employee equity compensation plans, including those under Section 102 of the Israeli Income Tax Ordinance.
