In 1965, three brothers - Haim Neiman, an architect; Yona Neiman, an engineer; and Yitzhak Neiman, a businessman - began constructing residential buildings in Ramat Gan and later in their hometown, Jerusalem. Yitzhak Neiman leased approximately 6 dunams of land in the city center, across from the YMCA field, where he developed a unique complex featuring six residential buildings with around 120 housing units. The U.S. Cultural Center established its headquarters in one of these buildings. The complex also included commercial-use public shelters, an innovative concept at the time.

This marked the beginning of the Neiman name, building a reputation for quality, stability, and integrity. Yitzhak Neiman later led pioneering residential projects, including two major developments in Jerusalem’s French Hill neighborhood, as part of a government-backed initiative to build rental housing for immigrants from Western countries. The latter project was carried out by Yitzhak Zvi Neiman Leasing Ltd.

In the 1980s, the company underwent structural changes. In 1988, Yitzhak Zvi Neiman Leasing Ltd. was established, and Yitzhak brought in his son, Gideon Neiman, a civil engineer and Technion graduate. The company continued to develop residential and rental projects, including another large-scale project in the French Hill, while maintaining its strong reputation. Over time, the business expanded, and Gideon Neiman took over management.

The company’s flagship project, "Agnon 11", was one of the first residential buildings in Israel to receive a Green Building Standard (IS 5281). The project incorporated advanced climate systems and led to the introduction of a new stone cladding standard (IS 2378-6) for semi-dry construction. The company is currently engaged in urban renewal in Bnei Batira Street, Jerusalem.

Today, Gideon Neiman manages various companies and leads Neiman Alexandroni Ltd., which is overseeing a large-scale mixed-use project in Jerusalem’s Talpiot district. Additionally, Gideon and his son, Ofer Neiman, operate Neiman Urban Renewal Group, initiating multiple projects in and outside Jerusalem. The urban renewal sector is headed by Ofer Neiman, a civil engineer and Technion graduate, representing the third generation of Jerusalem builders in the family.
