She has been a member of the Israel Bar Association since 2004; is a certified mediator accredited by the Israel Bar Association's David Rotlevy National Mediation Institute and is authorized by the Ministry of Justice to prepare enduring powers of attorney. She also specializes in collaborative divorce and is trained to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Attorney Ben Yakir explains:
"With over 22 years of experience in family law - a highly sensitive field - I have learned that the key to success lies in providing personal, humane guidance from the initial consultation through the conclusion of each case.
I therefore view my role as a mission, and as a privilege to accompany people through such a painful and delicate process, and to serve as an interpreter of both the legal process and legal language, which is not always familiar or clear to the client.
My office is a family-oriented, supportive boutique firm. From the very first meeting, clients understand that I am a partner in their personal journey toward justice and toward building a better future for themselves and their children. They know I am available in every crisis - even late at night, on weekends, and on holidays. I listen, advise, and guide, all in accordance with the strategy we build together at the outset. At times, I also make it my duty to set boundaries when I identify that a client's wishes or demands are not aligned with the best interests of the children
(where there are shared children).
I am fully aware that most of my clients come to me at a time of crisis, when they must make decisions that will shape their future and daily lives. My experience has taught me that amid emotional turmoil, people do not always see what is truly right for them. Especially in divorce negotiations, clients tend to focus on the "here and now" rather than the long-term picture. This is where my role comes in - to act with sensitivity and care, to explain what lies beyond today, and to help separate emotion from decision-making so we can arrive at the right choices together.
I believe that an attorney practicing in family law must work like a skilled surgeon - carefully, sensitively, and with recommendations tailored to the person sitting before them."
