Our firm is one of Israel’s leading and most established law firms specializing in urban renewal. We currently represent and accompany dozens of urban renewal projects throughout the country under various frameworks, including Pinui-Binui (evacuation and reconstruction), Build-and-Evacuate, and National Outline Plan 38 (Tama 38) demolition and reconstruction track. From its inception, the firm made a fundamental decision to provide legal representation exclusively and loyally to apartment owners, in every project.

We are one of the few law firms in Israel that represents apartment owners exclusively in each and every project. Throughout the entire process, our loyalty is solely to the apartment owners; we do not represent contractors or developers.

Our firm views urban renewal as a genuine solution for addressing socio-economic disparities within Israeli society. Over the years, the firm has accumulated substantial expertise and experience in representing and guiding apartment owners in urban renewal projects nationwide. The firm has received several certificates of recognition for its extensive efforts in advancing urban renewal projects across Israel.

The firm received media coverage following its successful execution of a large-scale demolition and reconstruction project on Hankin–Ben Yehuda Street in Holon in 2016. As part of the project, eight old railway-style residential buildings housing 136 apartment owners were demolished and replaced with 440 new residential units. By 2020, all apartments were occupied, the defect liability period was completed, and all units were officially registered in the Land Registry under the apartment owners’ names. To this day, the project is considered the largest and fastest demolition-and-reconstruction project completed in Israel.

In addition, Omid & Co. was involved in advancing the first Pinui-Binui demolition project in the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood of Rehovot. In 2014, a demolition ceremony was held for the buildings located at 31–33 Gavrielov Street in the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood of Rehovot. This project was the first to be implemented under Israel’s national urban renewal plan, which has been promoted for over a decade as part of the country’s national demolition-and-reconstruction program in the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood.

In the first Pinui-Binui project launched in Rehovot and accompanied by Omid & Co., 186 new residential units are being constructed.

Omid & Co. currently represents thousands of families throughout Israel in evacuation and reconstruction projects that will continue to shape and improve Israeli society. The firm also promotes dozens of Pinui-Binui projects in Israel’s geographic and social periphery.
